Educational Workshops - Day 2
Parallel to the main conference, Digimedia.ME has organised a number of educational workshops to be conducted by leading practitioners in digital marketing.
The Day 1 workshops are a set of educational sessions covering various topics. Delegates are welcome to attend one or all of the workshops as they choose.
Econsultancy Certificated Training Seminar
Digimedia.ME have teamed up with Econsultancy, a globally recognised provider of insight on online marketing and related training, to provide a certificated training seminar at the conference. The training will be conducted by none other than Craig Hanna, Training Director of Econsultancy.
This training seminar is perfect for marketing executives, entrepreneurs or anyone involved in online marketing who wants to enhance their career and build a more in-depth understanding of some of the techniques available in digital marketing today. As this is a certificated course, attendees will be required to conduct a test which will be provided online, so it can be taken in the comfort of their own homes after the seminar. Provided they pass, participants will be awarded a certificate from Econsultancy which is a globally recognised training organisation. Having such a qualification can only help to improve your career in digital media marketing.
Session 1 - An Introduction to Search Engine Marketing
SEO is crucial if your business is going to make a success of the web. This 2-hour introduction will show you how to rank in Google and give you a set of techniques and tools to use on your own website.
- Understand the key components of a successful natural search strategy and the quick-win opportunities that exist
- Refine your approach to key phrase analysis and content to increase the performance of your website on search engines
- Demonstrate a range of tools (mostly free) that you can use to help you understand search engines and how your site performs.
Session 2 - Social Media Marketing
Social media is the new hot topic for marketers. This engaging and interactive session will help you:
- Use a range of free tools to begin listening to the conversations that are already happening about your brand, industry or competitors
- Formulate the beginnings of a communications strategy for social media
- Understand how and what we can measure
Session 3 - SEO PR
SEO PR combines what we have learned above into a coherent strategy for improving both your search rankings and your PR online.
- Understand how ‘social objects’, ‘social currency’ and ‘conversationalists’ can trigger brand and corporate conversations with audiences, customers and stakeholders
- How to measure the effectiveness of SEO PR activity
- Understand the impact of Universal Search and social media on SEO PR.
By the end of the day all attendees will have a firm understanding of the link between search engines, social media and PR and will be able to access a range of tools to get started.
Each session will take approximately 2 hours including coffee breaks.
Following the seminar, students will be given a username and password to log into the Econsultancy website where they will be able to take part in an online test on the subjects covered in the seminar.

- Distinction (over 75%)
All participants who pass the test will be sent the qualification certificate from Econsultancy.
